Talent Acquisition and Development – Spanish Division 

Latin American Translators Network (LATN), Inc. has one opening available for the position of Talent Acquisition and Development – Spanish division with the following qualifications:

Requires two years of experience as a Spanish Interpreter in the medical field. Must submit criminal background check and pass a drug test.

Job duties for the position include:

Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training programs to enhance the language interpretation skills of interpreters. Develop comprehensive training programs and materials tailored to the specific needs of language interpreters, including training modules, manuals, handouts, and presentations. Identify training needs and skill gaps among language interpreters. Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions for language interpreters, utilizing various training methods such as workshops, role-plays, simulations, and e-learning platforms. Perform simulations of interpreting encounters designed to evaluate specific areas of performance in line with the industry code of ethics and professional standards of practice. Develop scripts designed to test interpreter’s skills and their ability to apply professional principles in simulated encounters, including compliance with ISO industry standards for interpreting services including ISO 13611:2014, ISO 18841:2018, ISO 20228:2019, ISO 21998:2020. Evaluate applicant’s performance during simulated encounters and determine performance scored and gaps. Provide mentorship, guidance, and development exercises to new and existing interpreters to support skills development and improvement. Implement evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness of training programs and gather feedback from interpreters to identify areas for improvement. Provide individual coaching and mentoring to interpreters to address their specific training needs and enhance their professional growth. Work closely with upper management and Human Resources to align training initiatives with organizational goals. Maintain accurate records of training activities, including attendance, feedback, and performance evaluations, and generate reports as required. Issue recommendations for training process updates, including evaluation tools, methods, metrics and performance indicators.
