Going Outside the Box: LATN’s Project-Based Solutions

When you have a language issue or a management challenge to address, sometimes calling in an objective, outside agent is the best course of action. LATN has project-based solutions when a client’s need is not easy to identify or cannot be addressed through ordinary language services.

In these instances, LATN can save clients worry and stress by taking charge of the problem and formulating a solution. We will work hand-in-hand with you to identify and understand your goals and will then assemble our own experienced, internal team to carry out an appropriate course of action.

In the meantime, the client’s leadership is free to focus on more important and timely issues.

Commonly Requested LATN Project-Based Solutions

Secret Shopper Services: One of our commonly requested project-based tasks is to provide “secret shoppers” for assessing a particular service’s level of accessibility or effectiveness. LATN has provided secret shoppers in both English-speaking and non-English-speaking locations. Due to our longevity, we have a specific infrastructure in place for handling secret shoppers that is easily adaptable to a wide range of industries and clients. When providing this service, we closely align efforts with client goals to ensure the correct target information is being obtained and that it is easy to interpret.

“Equal Access” Advisement and Assessments: In situations where public services are offered in the United States, opportunities must be provided that allow for effective communication with the Deaf and hard-of-hearing and limited and non-English speakers. This is called provision of “equal access,” and it is mandated by law through the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

Often, organizations (businesses, government offices, etc.) want to provide “equal access” but simply do not understand how to make it happen. LATN can assist by coming to your location or office and working with you to establish a workable “equal access” plan. Once in place, we can also test the plan’s viability by using our secret shopper service.
